A compelling conversation with American artist, Andre Henderson, where he shares how his artist career transformed 15 years ago, when in a crisis, he heard the ancestors tell him to paint for them. Thus, the first painting was born, depicting the transatlantic trade of African slaves.
We zoom into the story of various paintings and symbols, such as the meaning of the cross and the sharks. A deeply moving conversation about the endured pain, yet with a powerful and hopeful spiritual message.
